Well I finally landed a good job making good money and mainly just been saving money to redo alot of shit that I half ass'd on the 83.

First thing first this interior, its stock and missing half of it and im tired of it.
So I figured tweed? why not its cheap and looks simple and clean.

I didn't get to take any before interior shots because my camera was being lame.

Im kind of stuck to what I should do with this piece, I have been thinking about doing it in blue instead of just keeping it a plain black. I wanna do blue to break up the color some. Theres only a total of about 3 pieces with blue and there all little. The glovebox, ashtray and my old cd trim piece.

Blue or No?

See the problem?

Now?

thread post photo

Still Don't?

thread post photo

Ahh get it now?

The bed support is buckled from draggin.

Oh this is what I contemplate on being body dropped. My truck can hit some nasty sides so before I put it away for a while I started draggin hittin side to sides I hear some weird fuckin noise like body sheetmetal draggin. I get out see that half the pinch is gone. So I try it again I hear even more it doesn't dawn on me my bed was dragging.

Thanks for looking, If you have any suggestions, Concerns. I do appreciate them I can take criticism(sp?) I would definatly like to fix things now if anything is wrong.

Thanks guys

Nick

Man, that looks like $#!% Just kiddin!!!
Actually looks pretty good. I like the color combo. And yes, a little more blue might look good. My problem is I don't own an older mazda so I cannot relate as to where each piece goes. Which 3M product are you using? The biggest concern I would have at this point is the sun. By that, I mean in the summer with the sun baking on the black dash some glues get soft and release. 3M 90 is pretty good as it is more like contact adheasive. 3M 70 is more for tackin pieces together until they get stapled from behind.

looking good bro. good to see you got the dash out. i don't know if you have ever pulled one out of an 86-93 model but it is a hell of a lot easier than those yr models. i had to make a 5 hr round trip for turkey day yesterday and the whole way i was thinking about working on the truck and now i see this i am getting extremely motivated to get to work on her again.

i went to the junkyard about a month ago and i got the wood grain trim out of a b2200 and put it on my dash, i will post pics later.

i have the same problem with hitting sides, my bed supports were all jacked up, so i cut them off and i will build new ones when i get done bodydroping the bed. i even jacked up my rightside fender pretty bad by hitting sides at 65mph, which i will say i will never do that shit again, scared the hell out of me when i lifted her back up.

what are you going to do with the z71s when you put the new wheels on? i want a set for my 89.

keep us posted bro.

Bodydrop!

I thought I had them sold to a local guy but I dunno. If I end up buying a fullsize I may just swap them on there and put a meaty tire on it.

Immortal: Ya it's a adhesive 90 something glue from wal-mart $10 a can, it is some tough shit. You spray it once let it sit for about 30 seconds and blam wrap it tight and your done.

Seth: I have debated the body drop. It's so easy to put these into the door but I'm not a fan of waves. A traditional wouldn't be bad because the seats I run are tiny. But a stockfloor is always nice and I could get it all ready within a week.

I will prolly do that piece in blue, I am gonna attempt to do some fiberglass work I been reading on it and such.

The piece im debating is like a trim piece that goes around my gauge cluster and my heater controls. Some s-10s use a radio piece that has the cd player sticking out about 2". I wanna try to cut that down around the edges and fiberglass it in there.

Looks sweet man definitely a huge improvement. That color blue is pretty awesome too. Where did you get the tweed from?

Those guys dont play around, Cheap. Packed nicely and got it quick

Fanninator : I dunno man I have been looking at inifinity component sets on ebay and there pretty decently priced. I am trying to get everything one brand and such. I put infinity component sets in my stepdads silverado and the sound is amazing.

I may do some pop outs on my door panels, sierrax made a great hot to tech article on doing so.
