YES SIR! I sure am bagon barring it! TO speak of, I actually got the lower brackets welded to my ling bars today! Thats all I got done though, lol. What a day... Its been rediculous. I also picked up a 1 1/2" round tube for a new x-member at the notches which I will be redoing to allow for clearance and shock mounts.

I'm gonna get on that tomorrow and try and get the upper bag mounts finished as well so I can finally set it on its own feet! I need to go get my drums and rotors turned and get my neighbor to redo my axle seals or whatever to fix the lube leak too.

Dev, I thought you worked at Schucks? Lol, I can't keep track of all this hear say BS anymore, lol... I might need some stizzzelle, we'll see!

BTW, shoot dev are you going to be having like your own booth at Visions? If so, we bsceners gotta get together there and set up! SHOOT if sleepy comes up we all need to go DRAGGIN!

I definitely plan on this being finished by then. May not be one color and all, but I'll be pretty close. I guess BD the bed is about an 8 hour shpiel, so I might have this all done REAL soon...

MORE TO COME TOMORROW!

I gotta get down to the auto store then and then order and then wait and then go back down and pick it up. Which is a hassle, lol. But eh, I guess if nothing else works, sure!

If you go back and refer to the previous posting of mine, you will see that it is an x-member for the air tank. Both the fuel and air tank are not nearly anywhere close to touching the ground even when laid out.

So if I come up I am going to need some tall drag blocks, due to my lack of air ride. But if we take the wife's van it has air ride in the back maybe I could sneak something by her

Haha, I forgot about that, must have tought all mazdas came stock with air suspension, lol!

Sneak what? I ask...

UPDATE!

Did'nt have any time to work on the rig yesterday cause me and my bro were pulling out my moms furnace and replacing it. He does'nt need my help anymore, so today I worked on the truck a little.

I got the lower bag brackets welded up to the link bars, on Tuesday. But now I have some picaroo's to show. I started off the day by getting rid of the x-member for the shocks, and ground down smooth on the notches. That really sucked!

I then had to cut out some plates for the frame where the upper bag brackets were gonna go. I figure I should cause I'm still amazed at how thin these frames are. Got that all welded in and then got the upper bag brackets tacked in at the right spot and mocked up the bags. Then, after it was all good to go, final welded one all the way. Now its too late to work on it, so tomorrow I should have the other done and the shock member in and I should be also getting all the mounting hardware for the tanks and compressors.

I'm actually really concerned about my lift! I think I might get too much? I mean, it is really close IMO to the front of the link bar and I don't want to lift the truck up so high it tears the bag apart? I mean, how much can these things take before you rip them apart?

PICS!

X-member out!

Lower brackets in!

Plate added in for more strength.

Bags mocked up!

Collapses on itself very nicely!

Left side final welded.

Some answers to your questions....

The bag will "curve" more on the front suspension than on the rear - even with it that close to the piviot point. Once you install shocks, THAT will be your limiting factor as to how much lift you will ultimately have. The rear setups I have done I tried to put the bag at the 50% point (as in 1" bag movement gave 2" axel movement). Bag over axel is 1" bag to 1" axel. Your setup will tend to require more air pressure to raise to ride height AND will tend to ride a little softer (depends on the shocks). FYI, on my daughters truck with the bag at the 50% point, it takes about 25-28# of air pressure to get to ride height. Your setup might need 40#. Still not a big deal.

Enought rampling - your setup is looking great!
