Project Money Pit finally got layed

thats almost the same color im doing my truck

what color is it?

all I know is its almost lime green when I picked it out all there was,was a number for the color in the pic it has a yellow look to it for some reason but it is straight green its a mid grade sherwin williams single stage. since im painting it myself I didn't want to have a lot of money in it because its my first time painting a car or truck

Good job on the bed line!!! Turned out pretty even. The one I did in the daughters truck turned out OK, but not great. Definately like the green! Wish I could remember exactly what color my friend painted his truck - turned out looking EXACTLY like Mountian Dew. Definately pretty slick! If you need any pointers on painting hit me up. have done several "garage" jobs.

No problem....

You can see the stock hinges thru the gap between the tail gate and the tail light.


In this pic you can see where the stock hinges are bolted to the tail light housing. Shims were added as needed to get the latch end of the tail gate to line up correctly.


Here you can see the stock hinges welded to a reinforcing plate which is also welded to the end of the tailgate.


Just be careful how far you open the tailgate as it will hit the taillight if you go to far.
