Glad to see you can take the feedback people give you, can't wait to see some more progress on this beast. We definatly need more pre 84 mazdas in the scene.

Well, I built the new rockers today. Yup, 10 gauge. Beeftastic. They say "sure, lay me hard, I like it! No piddly piece of gravel is gonna mess me up! " Now I have to cut out the old ones and weld in the new. Then, once the solid foundation of rockers is in, it will be time for the bodydrop and new floor/firewall. Then, back to where I've already been to button up loose ends and details that could wait while I made progress.
I also found the taillights that I'm going to use. The origin of these lights is a secret. They are oval shaped, 7"x1-1/4", and come with aluminum trim, or can be flushed in. I left the darn camera at work, so you'll have to wait on pics, but I feel that they are awesome. I've been so torn about what lights to go with. I didn't want to spend $200 on LEDs, and I didn't want caddy lights like everyone else (even though I like them), and I couldn't think of any OEM taillights that weren't immediately recognizable.
.
QUESTION- When flushing in lights with epoxy, is the intention to just fill the seam, or cover the whole lens and surrounding area like a coat of body filler and then sand off?

Wow. Nice progress. I like the body dropped bed.

These are oem lights, but they look like a street rod light. I'm gonna let people guess for a while. the point was to find an affordable, oem light that looked good and wasn't immediately recognizable. I have a winner!

I got my tank mounts welded in today. The tank is raised 4". There is a pic of the light I'll use. The aluminum trim can be polished, or removed and flushed in.
