I got my driver's side rocker cut out and replaced. There wasn't a rocker so much as ragged bits of steel and rust that were in the way of putting in an actual rocker. I also got a lot of the bits-n-pieces fabbing done on the passenger rocker, since I did the piecing together on the driver's side, I knew what I needed for the other side, so now I'm one step ahead on the passenger side. Once both rockers are in, I will weld tubes across the bottom of the framerails, and cut the floor out. The tubes are to make the frame be able to pick up the cab when it's time to roll the truck outside for the night, and to put the rockers at frame level for the bodydrop.
Sorry, you poor bastards, the camera didn't go with me today, no pics.

I now have c-channel tacked to the underside of my framerails, to create a "false floor" that picks up the cab when the truck is aired up so that I can take the truck outside at night. The new rockers are welded in, and they are laying on the c-channel. The entire floor and firewall have been cut out , and I will begin building the new floor and firewall shortly. The reason for the new floor is that the old one was totally shot, and the reason for the new firewall is that there would only be a little left of the original, and so I might as well cut out that bit too, and make the firewall all smooth. I'm soo excited! The camera has been in the other car, so you'll just have to keep imagining for now.
