yes I did, thanks for that.

what you should have done was take measurements from the frame to the ground before you cut it. then you just had to add 3 1/2 inches to those measurements so you would still be at the same angle. thats what i did on mine.

Thanks captain obvious, haha. Thats what I did. I just didn't write it down, and I started questioning my memory because it looks low still. Oh well. I am just going to throw the bad on and check the gap before I weld up the gussets.

if you still need some measurements i can take some tommorrow when i get to work and some level concrete. i z'ed the rear of mine too, but i thought it was more like 4inches. looks like we did weld it back up in the same place.

Today's update... Due to my paranoia about the rear frame measurments, I put the bed back on and made sure the gap was straight to the cab. Then I made some dual purpose gussets. They not only gusset the step in the frame, but they will be my lower mounts for the lower links. I tacked the outer plates on while the bed was still on, just to make sure. I have dinner plans for the next 2 nights, so work on the truck will be minimal. Oh yeah, some parts came in. 5 lug hubs from layinrockers, and all new ball joints and tie rod ends. Here is the pics....

with the 20's, I knew I was going to have to c-notch the frame also. Thats why I only did 3 1/2" on the frame. It left approx. 3/4"-1" of butting surface of the two frame pieces.

Is it just me or do those bed mounts look angled back like the rear of the frame is to low? I also have a set of hubs from Laynrockers I love them.

The rear of the truck is sitting on blocks, you can see them on the first page. I was paranoid about the frame leaning back. I can 100% guarantee that the frame is now straight.

^^ I see, everythings looking great. Seems that you started with a nice solid truck. Keep us updated.
