Went and got the truck on Wednesday, paid $1900 for it. After filling one tire with air and jump starting it we took it a few miles to my Grandpa's and gave it a little bath.

This weekend we gave it a little height adjustment.

Sunday afternoon

We reindexed the torsion bars. First we did 3 splines and that was a little too much right now. With the t-bolt bottomed and the shocks and bumpstops removed it only had like 1" of travel and the tires rubbed on bumps. We could probably make it work. But we moved them back one spline. So now they are 2 splines lower than stock and the t-bolt is about where it was at stock. But it lowered it almost 4"

We did 3" blocks in the back. We need to go down about 2" to 2.5" inches in the rear. I'm hoping pulling one leaf will do it.

I'll fill in some of the blanks when my wife sends me the rest of the pics.

Should be a good little driver for a 14 year old. He don't even get to start driving it till this time next year. So we got time to do little things to it.

Looks good man! When are you getting him bags?

I think I'm going to make him drive it one school year static before we do bags. Don't know if driving and switches is such a good idea for such a novice driver. But we have a deal if he gets this presidential academic award this year we will bag it next summer. If not it will be 2 summers from now.

Nice lookn ride, Work hard there son and it looks like dad will reward you nicely! My first ride was a 73 Camaro and my dad bribed me all the way to a new motor, paint, int. and rims. It cost him an arm and a leg but the time we spent building that car was priceless! We still talk about that car offten and it was built almost 20 years ago!

Ya it has just over 100,000 miles. But the hood and roof got some hail dents. They aren't that big and not that many so shouldn't be to big of a deal to fix.

Here is a very small update. We're trying to get everything moved so we can cut out the fender wells, so we pulled off the mess of air intake they installed at the factory and installed a universal one from O'rielly's. He was pretty bummed because there was a chrome/red one there the day before, but it was gone and we didn't want to wait. It worked pretty good. We were able to easily move the air flow sensor by stripping the wrap off the wiring, the wires run from the passenger side of the truck so there is more than enough wire. Thought maybe you guys would like to see. Oh and we put new plug wires on to match.

i cant imagine having your intake draw air from directly above the exhaust manifold being good... you would think the colder the air the better the truck would run... just my 2cents

you may want to add some intake tubing to your setup. going to be sucking nothing but hot air radiating up from the exaust.

I doubt it would make much difference. When running down the road there is so much air movement through the engine compartment I don't think it matters. I could be wrong, idk. I piece of tubing would just absorb the heat and transfer it to the air anyway, I would think.
