I dropped off all of the EFI parts last week. They had already pulled the engine off of the dyno, so it will probably be a while before they put it back on. The place doing the engine is very popular for racing engines, so the race engines seem to take priority.

I will probably try to get truck into the shop this week and remove the bed and cab to start stripping and painting the frame.

Anything new lately?

Nope, nothing new to report. I did get the truck to the body shop. At some point, I'm going to pull the cab and bed to link up the rear axle and mount the engine/trans. I don't know when that's going to be, though. It's tough not having a big enough shop and a lift at my house. Maybe one day I'll get a shop built and have time for all of these projects.

The engine is still at the machine shop waiting on them to dyno it with the EFI components.

Read the whole thread. That is one amazing Mazda. As a offroad guy im sad to see that thing not going offroad. But i was wondering if there is any updates?

Also what size tire do you have on there? I found this thread while searching for tire sizes on MAzdas and im wondering if i can fit 32" on a non lifted 2600i 4x4.

Thanks for the compliment.

No updates at this point. I'm still trying to find time to work on it and not having much luck.

The Nitto tires are just over 31" tall. The mud tires are right at 32.5", but I'm not going to put them back on the truck. They're going on my Tracker build, which will also probably never get done. I seriously doubt you would have good results putting a 31 on a stock height 4x4. They may go in the wheel well, but your wheel offset will play a big role in how well it turns (without rubbing). The body lift that's on my truck is fairly easy to install. I despise body lifts, but there aren't really any other options for these trucks.
