Thanks for the reply.

I looked at your truck again and it really makes me want to pour money into mine, because that thing looks so sweet.

As for the tires and lift. I was going to have them put 32's on to see if they fit, but im just going to go with the 31's my tires now are 29.5 so it shouldnt cause problems. And as for the lift, i dont want to as of now because i dont want to put extra wear on certain parts, because i need this thing to be reliable because im starting college in the fall and repairs wont really be an option.

Its been a great truck so far, i love it.

Thanks. Yeah, be careful spending money on these things. They're worse than a Jeep, by making you want to keep going with the build. Well, maybe they're not as bad as a Jeep, but they're close. I still like the lines on these trucks better than most of the new small trucks. Classic and current all at the same time.

Good luck with yours.

Thanks, im going with the 31x10.50 on 15 inch wheels. Should look nice when i get it done on monday, they order the wrong lug nut. 5 lug instead of 6.

Out of curiosity how much have you put into this build so far and how much do you plan to put into it all together?

Do you have the 302 in yet? What are you planning on doing after you get that back in?

I have about $8k in it as it sits, but that's with a lot of the engine work and parts donated by project sponsors (Lunati, Performance Specialties, Camshaft Warehouse, Pro Tru).

I don't have a plan for the remaining budget.

No, the 302 is not in yet. It's still at the machine shop. They wanted to dyno it with the EFI on it, but I'm getting over-eager and may go pick it up soon.

I have a Ford 8.8 (3.73, limited slip) rear axle to put in it. I may or may not put it in when I put the engine in. If it does get installed, I will have to get 6-lug axle shafts made and rotors redrilled. Plus, I would probably go ahead and build out the rear four link setup and install coilovers and maybe bypass shocks. I don't know if I want to dig in that deep all at once.

For the front end, I still want do to some longer tubular or fully fabricated a-arms. Since I won't be using any of the 4wd parts in the front, this makes a lot of sense. At that time, I could take off the body lift and build a custom suspension "lift" with the a-arms and rear four link setup. All of that is a lot of work and I really miss driving the truck, so I may hold off on that until the next phase of the build, after the engine is installed.

I would love to do it. Finding the time is the problem.

How much did the line x bedliner cost? thinking about getting it in my truck, but not sure what the cost is
bmzero   +1y

It was around $500 or $550. I can't remember exactly. A lot of dough for a bedliner, but worth every penny if you actually use your truck.
