B2600 4x4 Project

Wow didnt realize they cost that much.

I have a roll bar im trying to put in, but right now i have a mazda plastic dropin bedliner. And i need to mount the roll bar to the actual bed because it doesnt sit right in the bedliner, but i dont want my bed to rust out.

ANother question. I have been looking for a good center console that i can put between my seats that provides a arm rest. I was wondering were you might have gotten yours so i could take a look and see if its what im needing.

I'm not sure why I didn't see this earlier. I'm sorry I overlooked it. The console in the pictures came from Wal-Mart. It's a good generic design that seems to fit between most bucket seat setups. I used the same type of console on my Isuzu P'Up, which had Mazda B626 buckets in it.

I haven't had much time to spend on this project in a while, but I really would like to resurrect it and get it running. I called the engine shop today and they still haven't dyno'ed it on the EFI yet. I told them I would just come pick it up next week as-is. I'll need to get it tuned on a chassis dyno anyway.

I'll post some pictures when I get the engine home.

some other consoles that fit but could use trimming or modding to work better are from a 96 or so jeep grand cherokee, and i also tried one from a 05 or so jeep compass. they both have slots for a 4x4 shifter, and an auto shifter, i havent tried fitment in my 4x4 mazda truck so i couldnt tell you about that, but the grand cherokee one has been in my 2wd low truck for over a year. very comfy armrest, and just the right size. more storage too.

I picked up the engine today, and the truck last week. Hopefully, if things go well, I'll have the engine/trans mounted by mid week next week.




Before I comment on this coating, let me know what you think. I don't want to influence any opinions.





I'm still not finished with the shop at my house, so I'm going to bum some shop space from a friend of mine down the street. I'll post some pictures as the install evolves.
