so.. me and my pickyness.
dirtracer14 told me what to remove to be able to spin the odometer digits freely, and individually.

so i tore it back apart

on the left of this pic, i bent the metal holding the spline, then i could move it to the side and remove the black plastic that holds it in place, then i could adjust the numbers the half-gear or so, so that they all line up. lets hope they stay this way!!

and fixed it as best i could

aligned with proper reading
and i fixed the speedo needle too, it should be sitting a little below 0 at rest

completed installation of cluster

...and started door panels.
one done, i'm inside warming up right now then doing the driver's side. no additional pictures for that, it'll be the same, lol

should be another 10-15min and i'll be done that

less explanation now as it's pretty easy to tell what i did :p

edit: done driver's side now too. 15min later

holy crap jesse, nice work. I didn't think you'd have the guts to actually go in and tear the gauge cluster apart and swap everything like that. Mad props on that. The tinted windows and the B2600 interior panels look great.

Get the tails on the truck and try throwing the 4x4 grille on it to see what it looks like...I think it'll look kinda cool.

Anyways, I really appreciate you buying all of that stuff from me. I was fearing I'd have to toss it out.

Keep up the good work on the beast. I'll make sure I can try and stop by again before I leave. I just sold my 12" subs today and now I've got my target amount of money saved to get out of here.

Again, nice work...and we love photos.

i appreciate it all, i've been happily putting it all together
glad to hear you got the cash flow solved already, much quicker than you thought, no?

and since you guys love photos, here's a few of the tails.. i never got any pics at the beginning, so this is all i got.. will have a couple more as they get assembled/installed... i might put a space heater directly on the surrounds to dry them quicker, right now they are in the sun, but in the cold.... hrmmmm i know cold is not good for paint sticking don't worry.. i'll likely put them in the truck bed with space heater so they don't have much wind and still get heat that way, without stinking up the house

Looking good.Keep it up and motivate me to work on mine more.Today is the first time I've touched it since I bought it besides driving it.

lol.. unfortunately this may be the last thing until spring, besides fixing reverse lights.... since it's all back together and working great

i may look into rewiring turns in side markers so i can put fogs down below...
maybe lower it if this good weather keeps up....
i dunno what else until warmer weather.... haha

i finished the tail lights, put new bulbs in the process and boy does that make a difference
anyone know where the relay for reverse lights are on/at the tranny? mine aren't working and crazymikey suggested that might be it...

geez jesse! i have never seen any one take the time to do what you did to a set of cheap speakers, so many details pics, LOL WTF? '8s ... that must of taking hours to put the stereo in, if i took all that time for a deck and 2 speakers, i wouldve been fired a long time ago
jesse   +1y
haha mike...
yeah i could have done it quicker... but didn't want to

and it didn't take hours, switching the harness over really didn't take too long

Nice work man. I need to get off my ass again to catch up. Thanks for the motivation. Also, X2 on the stereo install. Nice work.

tank's home!
just gotta protect and install it, then my random chugging issues should be solved with the filter clogging all the time
