so i finally i will be able to get some work done on my mazda. next saturday i will start doing the body drop on my truck and i will also be putting in the 302 and t5 transmission. but before i start i want to make a list of the things i may need if you guys could help it would be greatly appreciated. i realize that there might be a few thing i will run into or things that i might have to get last minute but i want to keep the extra trips down to a minimum. also i have a couple of other questions. how far from the door sills did you guys cut for the bd? does anyone have any pics of how they did their tranny crossmember? im thinking about modifiying the stock one and using that. once again any input will be greatly appreciated.

thanx in advance

Make sure you get some of the grinding discs with the sandpaper flaps on them. I usally use the 36 grit discs.Makes a nice clean surface and doesn't gouge out the metal like the hard discs do.And don't forget this

measure a hundred times and cut once.

Thanx for the tip on the discs. I will give them a try. And yes I've got a couple of measuring tapes and about 4 levels. I want to make sure everything is straight and level

Ok since the engine x-member sits below the frame I think I want to z the front clip.
How much do I have to raise it to clear or be even with the frame? Also is it going to affect the steering at all with a 2 1/4 in bd ? Thanx in advance

I will start posting pics tomorrow or sunday for sure
