OK....Time for me to chime in. I see a lot of different attitudes in this thread. From helpful to What The Hell is this. To loud&low - You came asking for advice, looking for comments, and wanting to show off your work. I get it. The comments were all VERY positive. Constructive criticism. You then came back on one day with possibly something else bothering you, immediately you got defensive. I know a LOT of these guys on here and personally of the site. They are all top notch buddies. They may bicker they may poke fun at. But in the end these s.o.b.'s will bend over backwards to be there for you. However they also get bent quickly. A few quicker than others. So thus the flaming, hating, bashing, what ever the hell you want to call it. I quit reading after 6 1/2 pages so I can only imagine what page 7 & 8 have on them. We respect you as a person and all understand being broke and wanting to do it your self. Shit I was homeless about 9 years ago. I just recently sold project PITA because I needed the money. Ask ppl that was going to be my daughters baby so I was into it. But you know money is tight these days. So remember not everyone on here is rich. As for your comments on having your buddy reweld your project. That is awesome that you have that ability. I completely toasted a door and had no one there to help. yup I learned sheet metal sux! I personally think you are doing great for trying and the big thing is you realizing it needs to be redone. The simple fact that you know it is not road worthy is more than a lot of other hacks I have seen. So keep your head up. Go slow, read, read, read, read and then practice. Maybe not post up your practice pics. Look around and see what others are posting and getting thumbs up on. If it is not up to par plan on some criticism. It happens.
Now again I have not read every post but early on Mazdaberry delight made a comment after you took offense to his comment. You might want to do your research a bit. Dude is legit, a true fabricator, and a HUGE help. When I did my first ball joint flip he personally emailed me pics from his COVER TRUCK. Yeah that is right he has been there done that. So next time before thinking someone is just a keyboard commando find out about them, they may have the shit to back them up.
As for now I am locking this thread. Contact me via PM (or any of the other mods/admin) and we can see about either deleting or unlocking. We do not want you to leave and hope you can get the most out of the info on this site.
