There are many reputable vendors out there but I would bet you could get a pretty good deal from one of the vendors that supports this site.

These guys offer some quality products with excellent service.

Here's just a quick update on whats going on... I'm ready to order my notch kit and brackets as some of you may have seen my other post on the general discussion page... anyway all I have left to take of the frame is the LCA and the cross member.... in one of the pics you will see I put the rear end and axle on to measure for where the notch needs to go... once I have the notch and brackets on I'm going to sand blast the frame and cover it in POR15... here's a few pics of how it sits right now

here's the engine on the stand starting to clean it...

thanks... its a slow process between a tight budget and really not knowing exactly what order to do things... I think I spend more time on this site reading, and trying yo figure it all out then I do out in my garage. but its getting there. I should be ordering my bridge kit and front bag brackets from illusive fabrications a week from tomorrow and by the time they come in ill have the LCA's out, all the bump stops cut out and everything ready so I can mount it all in and get the frame covered in POR15.

after reading a lot of different pages it seems like a lot of people go with the RE6 SS up front and the RE7 SS in the rear (bag over axle) .... any other suggestions or does that seem like a good plan?

theres endless ideas of how u can set up ur bags

imo i love cantilevers or bag on bar

I would go bag on bar for more lift

by doing that though... I wouldn't be able to do a bridge kit rite... I'd have to put my top brackets in a different place. and i really like the kit below ... lol ... is there any down sides to doing bar over axle?? bad ride.. no lift... I'm totally new to this so I'm kinda depending on peoples input to help me out... I don't mind waiting and spending more money to make it ride and perform better.... I just want to do it right the first time ya know...

well a bag over will give you a hrder rider but you can carry more, but you only get 7 or maybe 8 inches of lift, bag on bar you lose a little carring but get a better ride and more lift

true but you could use a tripple bellow bag and get at least 11inchs

ok... just out of curiosity, why does lift seem to be an issue here... I plan on laying it out and driving it here and there its not gonna be an everyday driver... more of a show truck when I'm done with it.

I don't really care if t only sits 6-7 inches off the ground when I drive it.... my last car only sat about 4 inches off the ground and that was my everyday driver... Just for fun this was my old car... traded it for my b2200 after I took it apart to do a front end conversion on it and lost interest.

its a small pic but it still works
