Well today my Factory carburetor sold for 78 USD on Ebay and my Pro Fuel FPR came in the mail.

1-5 PSI adjustable in .5 PSI increments

Ah ha - I see something interesting. I think you probably have an electric fuel pump in the tank and not a mechanical fuel pump on the engine like my trucks. I also think I know what the check valve looking thing was on the one fuel line. The electric fuel pump runs continuously supplying fuel pressure up to the carb. The check valve item you asked about in another thread is most likely a check valve/pressure regulator that allows some fuel to be returned to the tank while supplying enough fuel to run the engine. Still a little curious about the fittings in the background that are in the same location as a normal mechanical fuel pump. Can you get a little closer pic of that area?

ps header is looking pretty good!

pss on another note, you might consider creating some sort of wire hanger or spacer to keep the fuel line from resting on the intake manifold. Hot fuel to boil which can cause vapor lock within the fuel line where it touches a hot surface.

Thanks! I will suspend that fuel feed .
Those two fittings against the head were where the factory fuel lines ran through before hitting the 2-1 fitting. I pulled the plate off the head and it has a seal with a flat plate with nothing entering the head.
Today i sprayed my header with some VHT flame proof paint and its just hanging keeping warm in the garage while it dries before i cure it, i also clamped in that pro fuel regulator.

I beleive that check valve/return line should still do its job properly since the FPR is just regulating the fuel entering the carburetor and the fuel that is limited at the reg should still be read by the check valve so it can let back fuel according. So really that check valve is a sort of factory regulator.

Now i know my carburetor is getting the max 3.5 psi
With the FPR installed the fuel line no longer makes contact with the manifold
the regulator wedges nicely between some vac caps

Good job on the header and also on the install of the FPR.

Thanks bro! I'm still wanting to make a block of plate for that little egr vac diaphragm on the side of the intake manifold. I have cut out a template i made from the gasket but have yet to cut the plate yet.
