Well i have REALLY been meaning to get back on this project but I'm off to the mountains of BC to do some sledding and snowboarding in the back country for another week so its going to have to wait!
Bolted up the Pacesetter that was sprayed with VHT flame proof paint
the flash doesn't make it look to pretty
The Inner fender removal is a rough cut and will be re-cut to the proper length when the new inner fenders are welded up after the front susp is welded.

Well i just got back from another Trip out to BC for some Snowboarding and Sledding in the back country. After checking out the under construction section as i usualy do i got some motivation to start tearing down my front suspension.
Quick question about the Tension rod on the LCA. If it is eliminated you must design a custom support arm as seen here
Is there anyone on air that isnt using the tension rod? I Cant imagine it being too safe without them.
All that rod is doing is triangulating the lower arm. With the tube on the backside of the arm its just doing the same thing. Wont hurt anything to remove that and build something like you have shown above.
The stock one can probably limit lift somewhat, but Ive never heard of anyone having problems with it limiting lift. A benefit to doing that is it provides a good place to put a shock mount and it looks better. Something like this...
