makeing the truck level is a good idea,... i had to notch my lca and i had stock parts with 18's and no z runing the stocker 14's you will not need to but you may want to find out the over all size of the wheel and tire you want to use so you know how big they are, that way you can make it work the first time around

Well lately ive been working on cleaning up the front frame rails for bag brackets. As i said earlier i purchased this truck from my good friend who bought it from his grandfather who had owned it since new, his grandfather has recently passed away and completing this truck will make it just that much more special. The old guy probably expected this truck to be in the junk yard soon and I'm going to be the guy who wont let that happen!

Well i have completely cleaned up the front frame rails besides the upper shock mounts. I think that i am going to split whats left up top in half like "itslikewhooa" has done because i think its a much cleaner design. After the bag plate is weled in i will add gusset's to the UCA mount. Here is a picture of what "itslikewhooa"
has done to the UCA mount. I really like what he has chosen to do

If you want this picture taken down from my thread let me know!
Imitation is the most sincere form of flattery!

what do you guys think?

Well i needed a good solid welding table for my vice and didnt want to spend $250 to make it. All of the brand new 2x1 steel was from some crazy low wide table i found in a metal recycling bin and cut apart. There is a rectanglular upper frame connected to the legs. And the big dirty looking top sheets are old lower hopper doors from train cars that i got from the recycling bin at a rail car maintence shop. I gotta shine those up with a disk, weld them together, mount my vice and put some supports bracing the legs together, cut off the hinge on the one side and it should make a pretty badass welding table for no cost to me

It was also my 21st birthday on the 4th so i didnt get much work on the truck done

Well it's finally nice out so this project is really going to start! Last week i blew through 3 mastercraft 7 amp grinders but with 3 year warranty getting as many as you want is nice. These 2 were warranty freebees. Once the 3 year is up i will pick up some 7 amp makitas with the swappable brushes. I aso grabbed this new 12 amp mastercraft rat tail grinder with 5 year warranty! Time to get cutting/grinding!

I use a higher end 4.5 " DeWalt, had it for over 3 years, never an issue, good recycling too!!
I built my table out of recycled material too. 2 x 5 square tubing, exreme heavy duty, easy to level and work on, the top is 3/4 inch MDF, with 14 g sheet on top. That makes it quiet when ya hammer out sheetmetal.
