Yes it is! Looking forward to some new progress.

Hey Linn thanks for looking! I have been slacking on the mazda because i just spent the last 2 months getting this 83 supra back on the Road! I wanted a RWD car to have some fun this summer. Once i finish replacing a rotted out rear trailing arm and my front rotors come in I will be back working on my mazda.

let me know what you think!

You know what I think? I think that car needs a 2jz swap... =D
skrapinsask   +1y
Your not the only one who thinks that! the 5M is still running solid with 240 thousand km
but its has a few oil leaks. its due for cam seals, cam tower seals, front and rear main seals+more.

Skip it then, I think it needs a welded rear diff and a heavy right foot! Deal with a motor swap after you kill the one in it.

The gts (known as p type in us cars) actually came with a factory lsd and its holding up. Welded would be fun at the track but I dont know how fun it would be on the street!

I'm so glad I found this! I'm planning my build now and gathering all the parts I'll need to start and I've been so confused about everything I almost was to scared to attempt it... But after reading your entire build thread I finally feel confident in doing it myself (but hopefully I'll find some help to) I want to say thank you for documenting everything so well and asking the perfect questions that made everything make sense to me finally! I'm probably going to re read this thread 10 more times before i start my own build since it helped so much. So glad you didn't give up and continued... I'm sure I'll hit that same point sometime and hope I have someone to pull me threw it like you did, truck looks awesome! Those wire wheels are perfect on that truck! I'm jealous I didn't think of it.

Keep up the great work and lots of pics! They help so much.... I'm so excited to start my own build now

It's not. Especially with 40" tires. You hop pretty good in gas stations! But with something smaller, it would probably be less of a pain.
