Started the mazda today for the first time since last summer and DAMN was that lifter tick bad, I let it idle for about 2-3 minutes and it still didnt go away. I killed the truck because i just needed to run it enough to air it up to move it. If the next time i start it and the lifter tick does not go away I am really going to consider doing the solid lifter conversion worst case scenario.

Would it be wise to just replace the hydraulic lifters with new hydraulic ones rather than do the conversion? The wrecking yards in my area would probably charge me $125 min for a head and then I'm still sticking used parts in my motor. What the best place to order the hydraulic lifters from and has anyone just swapped them over? what is invloved in doing this? Can i just swapped the lifters or would a machine shop have to do it+ more in order for it to work properly? I have yet to rebuild a head.

thanks

Why not just swap the lifter assy into your head? (the adjustable kind I mean) for real man best of both worlds...

Because I dont think I can get one at my wrecker for a good price and then it would still need adjusting. Instead I could probably order new hyd lifters for less.

Please lemme know if you want to sell that supra 3rd member. Or hell the whole axle. Lol. I want the lsd.

Well i currently only have one, and its the one on the car! I ordered some BC racing coilovers for the supra as well as some Diamond racing rims in a negative 25 offset 15x8 front and 15x10 rear, should be dirty!

Pulled the valve lash adjuster assembly and replaced the flat spotted clogged valve lash adjusters with some new ones. During the install I knocked the rear cam seal and didn't know until i tried starting it ahahaha, good thing my battery was dead and i only lost a few L of oil onto my shop floor. The bay is a little dusty but you get the idea

I pulled my plugs to make sure it was tdc when reassembling and the plugs dont look to good, but the truck is running just fine. Obviously white is a sign of lean fueling conditions, can anyone confirm what adjustment i should make on my weber to richen the mixture? I thought i had it tuned perfectly because it runs great.
