turns out that my cam gear was installing incorrectly and now she runs SMOOTH! Zero hydraulic valve lash adjuster noise upon start up! Before it was soo loud it sounded like a crank bearing. Cant wait to put some plates on it and take it out for a drag!

Hey guys no updates besides now having a truck that runs great. I have been seriously slacking this year and have not began any of the sheetmetal work in the box. I have been busy racing auto X and building my car. here are a few pictures.

So far this season i have done
- complete poly bushing kit
-weld in rear subframe camber bracket modification
- BC racing mx73 cressida coilover conversion
- bearings, rotors and pads
-Diamond racing 15x8 and 15x10 rims in a negative 12 offset with stretched kuhmo ecsta ATS tires and much more

Its really starting to handle like a go cart

Pretty impressive looking Auto X ride. Those BC coils look pretty sweet as well. Did some Auto X many years ago - lot of fun for sure. Wish I had pics of my friend Gary's "thing" - tube frame chassis running Corvair front and rear suspension. He installed some kind of crazy flip kit to allow the motor to sit in front of the transaxel (something with the ring gear I guess??) Anyway, the thing was very light with tons of power. Biggest problem for me was the trailing throttle oversteer. Think I did 2 donuts when I hit the first sharp corner. Pretty funny for the spectators - me not so much.

Thanks! Raced this morning and had a blast, killed a few cones one of my runs but other wise had a killer time. That sounds like a very interesting ride!

Im hoping to work on my mazda again soon, just been beyond busy. I'm happy to say the box sides and tail get require VERY minor body work and don't even show surface rust as they were replaced a few years before i owned the truck.

I still cant decide how I would like to do the box floor and the new skeleton, i want to keep it very simple.

Hey guys its been for ever, the truck has been on the back burner this year but it still runs and drives 100%! I pulled the cover off her for the annual "cruise weekend" in my city. Thousand of people from all over travel for this event and it packs all the main drags in town all night. Today they shut down most of downtown and have a car show with over 1000 vehicles. I'm very happy to have the mazda plated and will be putting a few miles on her tonight!

Hey thanks for looking man! I have been concentrating on my supra lately
(faster and more fun to drive) especially on the 32 way adjustable BC racing coilovers and sticky Kuhmo tires on 8/10 wide diamond racing wheels The factory LSD still locks up nice

That does look like a lot of fun to drive! Does it hold it's own on the auto X circuit?
