Regarding bag placement, yes the placement may not be the best and probably should be moved back some. But I also noticed if you moved them further back the upper bars will probably hit the top bag mount. So in light of how things are layed out I would say your next step would be some good long stroke shocks to counter act the soft bag placement and you should be just fine.

is there goin to be some support built in to the upper front link mounts? i know you said it was for the driveshaft loop but just curious about those tabs.

Yeah there will be more support. I'm planning on a adding a tube to run from those mounts to the bag mount as well as more gusseting. There's a lot more support that needs to be added to the whole back half, but I need to get a tubing bender first.

Well after many hours of welding today, it got loaded on the trailer at about 1030 tonight. Didnt get the cab on it, but it still looks pretty cool overall. Thanks to Fro for all the help the last few days. Pics tomorrow.

not to be critical , but I would suggest more angle on yer upper link bars, and relocating the bag mounts rearwards, yer gonna need some leverage to raise it easier, and the axle has way less play if the angle of the top bars is increased, so I would move them closer together. then yull have room to move the bag mounts back

project is lookin soo good keep up the good work
and I never seen that nice a weld from a stick!!

Thanks for the suggestions. I would have moved the mounting points of the upper link bars inwards, but then they would interfere with the driveshaft. I could have gotten more triangulation if they were mounted on top of the driveshaft loop, but then I would have had to have some extremely long tabs on top of the axle to make the 4 link function properly.

Heres some pics I took this morning. Didnt get a chance to get pics yesterday at school, but everyone thought it was pretty cool. People from companies came around and asked questions and they had a grade sheet that goes into our overall grade for the project. One question I had to keep answering was, "So whats the purpose of this, to make it easier to load things or haul more weight?" I said well the purpose is to lay on the ground and look cool.
Overall Im pretty happy with everything so far. The 4 link is set up pretty well, it only gets about 3 degrees of pinion angle change which is good. The front should get more lift with the new bags too, it just has old firestone 255's in it right now.

Thanks for the comments. No paint for awhile as I still have alot of work to do on the frame. Have to finish the gussets and tubework on the backhalf, as well as the body mounts. Im thinking that in a few weeks I can have all that done, but Im not sure how much Ill get to work on it with finals coming up. One thing I forgot to add is that it lays out on a 235/75/15 which is roughly 28-7/8" with stock arms and spindles. I was just looking at tires sizes and a 235/35/22 is about a half inch smaller in diameter just for reference. Not sure if anyone cares, but I thought it was kinda cool

I would say thats pretty good (layed out on a 29" tire). My purple truck is layed out on a 26" tire and I know what I had to go thru just to get that so congrats!
