Do you recommend the auto loc in the link I put above? What are the 40lb pullers your talkin about? I'm going for simplicity right now because I don't have much experience in actuators and what not. I'm not scared of spending the 250 as long as I can make it work.

for simplicity, yes get the autoloc kit. I made a mistake and did not notice the link you had. that link is for dorr lock/unlock.

I haven't decided if I'm going to shave the handles yet so I was just going for a lock/alarm kit. How hard is it for a beginner to weld a body panel? I would shave them and get it over with but I don't wanna pay out the ass to have someone do it. That's why I was just gonna do power locks with an alarm?

gotcha.. dont know about that. I just installed kit after it has been shaved. Powerlocks is easy to do though.

those are close to another set up I have done before

Hey thanks man! While your here, if I were to do a kit like that, do you know if it will instruct me which wired go where? It appears there are alot of wires on there and it only said "Operation instructions." I'm guessing some are for windows and trunks and what not, but how many wires would need connected just to do the locks?

There would be a total of four wires for the power locks. You would have a 12v constant and a 12v swtiched power. Then ground. The four wires would be for driver door (+), (-) and same for the passenger. The driver and passenger should be able to lock/unlock independant.

Sweet man thanks for all your help. Ill start a build thread anytime now and that will be the first thing on it! I really appreciate it!

All you need is a pair of these:

And two Bosch relays, and an alarm to control them.

Wire it up like this:

orangemazdab2000 - Remote door poppers would be wired the same way, correct?
norcallumps   +1y
yes it would. except you would only need one relay. the two relays are one for lock, the other for unlock. the diagrahm above can be used with a alrm if you already ahve one that has a specific out put. If you dont have a alarm or keyless entry setup, you will still need some sort of remote way or push button to activate the actuators. This Can also be used for up/down for p/w if you have a output that is a hold down rather than a "momentary". The keyless entry I linked to earlier is the realys encased plus it remote controlled and is only $6 more.
