Door poppers would only use 1 relay per popper.

Like Norcallumps said, it doesn't have to be an alarms negative trigger controling the locks. It could be a pair of waterproof switches hidden under the truck somewhere, or cooler yet, a set of magnetic switches hidden low behind a tinted back window.

Back in the day when I was an installer, we had this kit that had a magnetic key fob and a single magnetic switch for door poppers. You'd run the key fob up against the window which would activate the contacts on the other side of the window, triggering the relay, and opening the door with the popper.

A person could use 2 magnetic switches in the same window, one for lock, one for unlock! That would be cool! I'll se if I can figure out what brand that was, it's been a while.

I remember that set up for customs back in the day. Couple years ago I wired a '49 merc that used to be a 4door. Guy cut the room off (Carson Top), lenghted the doors. Big ass rolling tub. The doors opened vertically then arced out. Had Big linear actualtors... that was fun. Had a blown 392 hemi and a built 700r4. Airbags all the way around. Car still isnt done... Been painted 4 times and builder/owner still doesnt like it...

It was kind of like this but with a magnet fob:

If you're doing something like this it never hurts to put a set of terminals somewhere you can get to them as well.
No fun breaking into your ute if the battery goes south

Adding door lock actuators is super gravy. There aren't really any "bolt on" kits I know of. However the ones most shops us are made by the best alarm company in the industry, directed electronics. These are what i have done on every car I've ever added locks to. As far as wiring, they just have 2 wires on each actuator(motor)...blue--unlock, and green--lock. Run your wires from each door to the control unit/brain of your choice. I am a huge dei fan, we sell viper at our shop. If you just want keyless go with a 211hv, if you want a basic alarm go with a 350hv or 350plus. I will warn you a alarm or remotestart alarm are not for the beginner. If you have a local stereo shop, even a best buy, you can buy a keyless w 2 actuators installed for around $250 with a lifetime warranty. If you do it yourself, you will have about $10 an actuator, and $30 for a keyless.

good luck, btw im doing the same thing on my dawg, have parts just waiting to do it once she runs.

Dude I love your truck David. Let me know if you wanna get rid of those rockstars! But to everyone; thanks a bunch for your input. I'm gonna go with ebay actuators and just a 20-40 dollar keyless entry system probably from eBay as well. I just want to doors locked. I put an alarm on my avalanche and it was a cluster****. So this time ill stick with just keyless haha

I've got CC billets now, but I want a set of rockstars too for everyday driving so I don't screw up the billets lol but I would need 18's to still lay
