Alright i have read the following write up

But i am unsure on a few things right now.

-Does the yellow wire that runs from the OEM carburetor to the alternator get used on the Weber?
-Does the Red wire running from the under manifold harness get used on the Weber?
-Can the line from the distributor be run directly into the vac advance on the carburetor
or does the OEM module with harness have to be reused? (seen in circle with #2)
-Can Circle 1 be eliminated??
-Can circle 3 be eliminated and blocked off on manifold?
-Can circle 4 leading from manifold to valve cover be capped off?

Can harness 1 2 and 3 be eliminated in second picture

Any other addition useful information or pictures of your install would be appreciated.

the wire off the alt is for the electric choke.
yes you can eliminate everything you have circled. the egr will need a block off plate.
the line going to the valve cover is for the pcv valve and with the weber there will be a place to hook it up...
you can get rid of all those wires the went to the oem carb
not sure about the other wire your talking about but im sure its part of the wiring harness that can be eliminated. if its not something isn't hooked up now????

Thanks for the quick help!

The red wire runs to the harness under the intake manifold. I believe it ran to something that was right flush with the bottom of the carburetor. It was connected before the factory carburetor was removed.

When #2 on the first picture is eliminated does the vac line run directly from the carburetor to the distributor?

And just to confirm ALL wires and parts from 1 2 3 on the first picture are unused with the WEBER carburetor and the only factory wire than needs to be used is the electric choke.

the red wire i believe was hooked up to a pre heater for the carb i think!but you do NOT need it!

yes, you only need the electric for the choke. the distrib vac line hooks to the carb. and the pcv valve hose hooks to the carb. every bit of that harness on the passenger side that was for the stock carb is completely useless to the weber. as a matter fact you can take the ecm completely out and remove all those wires. only wire you will need through that groment on the passenger side firewall will be the 4 blues and ground for the wiper motor

Ok rad

Now with he two fuel lines that run into the 2-1 converter then there's the one that runs into the carb from
the 2-1

can i just connect this as is to the Weber or does this have to be changed

you will only need one line (feed/output) from the pump to the carb..... the other line on the pump is the return line
skrapinsask   +1y
alright so the factory carb has the same outlet for feed and return?
because i have 2 fuel lines running to 1 that enters the carb

single line circled turns into 2 soft lines that enter 2 different hard lines on the firewall. One is feed and return? I am just confused because both entered the factory carb at one location

no one line isn't going to be feed and return on the same line..... im assuming from the pic and what you have discribed that you have an electric fuel pump??? weird... anyways the line that you have marked in the pic above should be feed.... take the funky fitting off and use that one for feed.

My buddys truck had that same kind of 2-1 connector. We left it on there and it works just fine, def a weird thing though.
