Wont truly know til I get these codes fixed. :) but even without vtec and 2 codes. pulls 100x better than my old dpfi.motor (on stock tune vtec is disabled when check engine light is on) Tell you what though. This clutch is hardcore Im talking at LEAST stage 3 its so ridiculous. :)

Congrats on the install - does look very stock. Should make for a lot of fun.

Well, These 2 codes are pissing me off, My wiring isnt the problem. I trouble shot that today, My wires are right and the OHM are flawless. One code is a Vtec Oil Pressure Sensor.... Sensor is 75 bucks.... Bought one, Installed it... Oh guess what.>??? Still throws the code... Grrrr, Supposedly its a common problem with these motors. Code number two is a Cylinder Position Sensor code, Which is in the Distributor, Which too is an even MORE common issue with these motors. Whats really upsetting is I deliberately put a NEW (Reman) Distributor on the engine BEFORE installing it into my car because the old dizzys seal was bad and leaked a small bit of oil into the housing. Well after doing some research 3 out of 5 dizzys are bad straight out of the box, and its always the Cyl Pos code thats thrown. Pretty irritating. So I have another one coming for me and will be here tomorrow, Im going to throw it in there and see if that fixes the problem. On my lunch I burned a other chip for the ECU one that doesnt let the CEL come on.. haha, Annnnd it pulls very very nice. Only did 2 runs before putting the stock tune back on it. Just to see, Without that light it runs like a raped ape. I cant wait to fix these issues. I most likely am not going to use the Vtec Pressure switch, JDM engines didnt use them and its causing me problems so Im going to bypass it on my next ECU tune. (I checked my oil pressure and its prime) So yea, Ill keep everyone updated.

Sounds like you are on the right track. Wish I could write a new tune for my new toy but... that is not gonna happen.

Looks like its been a while since I updated this. Ive figured out the Vtec codes, its my valve body for the solenoid, Its missing a piece of it. Grr... Anyway I am running a D15 Map so its not looking for vtec so no code. Going to go smog it once I figure out this odd miss, I timed it ead on accurate, BUT Im thinking the cam itself is retarded a tooth. Gonna figure that out tomorrow, Other than that, Ive been mobbin it as my daily since the swap. S10 is going to be finished soon..

Have fun Justin.

Sooooo, I did the timing belt and water pump on the civic 2 days ago.... Adjusted the valves since they were tight as could possibly be... no joke... Anyway... After timing it and finishing up, It ran like absolute crap. Felt like it was retarded like 20degree Drove it to work today and advanced the dizzy all the way. Now its running like a raped ape. Came to the conclusion once I got home, The previous owners of this motor put an LS crank pulley on my motor so where I timed it was waaaaaay off cuz obviously the timing marks arent the same lol. Annnnnywayyyyyyy, ALSO found out today, I have an aftermarket cam.. With stock springs.. Pretty ridiculous. So Im ordering valve springs this weekend with titanium retainers Very excited!!!
