And after inspecting it a little further I had no idea this truck was missing so much, and rigged just the same. It seems to run "ok" but id like to fix that, maybe getting more power and gas mileage. First off looking at the wiring harness in the engine bay from the left side there are at least 3 spots where the wires have been cut, and right under the air cleaner is a full harness that goes to nothing. And every single vac line around that area has been plugged off, and as far as I can tell this truck is dead stock. Question is, think someone has some pictures of their stock motor? That maybe I could look at to see what it is exactly I am missing. Thanks.

well does it have a weber carb? if it does then all those vac lines and that harness are useless.... heres a pic of a weber carb minus the filter.

I don't believe it is, looks like a stock filter. And the vac lines are plugged on the carb side. Theres maybe 5 coming out of it, with screws in them.

Yea I was going to do that today, but my camera is dead so i guess thats going to have to wait unless I can find my other.

But something I was curious about so maybe I wouldn't have to bother. Whats the advantages on buying a webber? Ive seen people talking about them but not the plus side to them, would you consider them worth the $250 or however much they cost on a old pickup.

Not on the plus side to them....? Ive never heard anything negative bout buying a Weber other than the owner not knowing how to turn two screws to adjust it. A Weber was one of the best investments ive done to my mazda
