mounted the hood latch mechanism, modified the grill alot to fit, did some more welding and general crap. Nothing really picture worthy.

not much progress today as we are getting 5 inches of rain and the truck is outside.

Blasted my manifold getting it ready for paint.

Nice metalwork on the bike. Those mods to the Golf are pretty creative for sure. And yes, the carnage to the undercarrage is pretty bad looking.

Linn i think we should talk to Baha about opening up a "other projects" page. Because we are all builders here and most of us have other interests besides just mazdas. Most have a say a vdub bug or a jdm bug or something. And i for one would love to see those builds as well.

i have a couple of questions... well a few haha

1 did you have to do anything to the firewall to get the tranny to fit?

2 what are you doing for a fuel pump?

3 how are you wiring everything up? and what all did you delete on the harness?

4 hows the axle holding up?

would you be willing to make me a set of steel mounts. i can pay you for them if youre willing and have time.

the reason i ask is because im getting a single cam from an 89 also and fully intend on doing the swap just doing some research. i still will need to get a drive shaft made and work some things out.

The shaft I eneded up using isd out of a Datsun 1600 or something. Its the truck I used the grill off of. The dust seal cover needs to be cut down slightly but other than that it works great as long as you keep the truck low.

If you can think of anything else dont hesitate to ask.
