Ya the s13 i got the motor from, its driveshaft would be a huge hassle to adapt.

I want to run a solid shaft. Hopefully just the front ujoint from a s14 or truck and the rest would be stock mazda.

That piece eliminates the rear shackles for the leaf springs. Its welded to the frame where the shackle pivot normally is. In a stock car there would most likely be no advantage. But in mine when im sliding sideways it will help the rear axle travel up and down adequately and locate the axle laterally much better than shackles. Oh ya and it will give the rear of the truck 2" of drop.

A pic is worth a thousand words.

i'm in love... that picture helps out a lot... and yeah... my truck isnt stock... and the lower you can go the better... i would think having those installed and putting my rear 2 pulled leafs from each side back in and i could still sit where i am now but have good ridin suspension back...

Yep. Mine will be recessed into the frame heavily. since im also modifying the front spring mount I should get 3" of drop out of this.

Thank you for explaining that, this is turning into one of my favorite builds. I've always wanted to know more about drifting.

Well this build is extremely mild for a drift truck, but it should do pretty well.
