Just ordered the Hurst shifter, Edelbrock intake manifold, Holley 4 barrel carburetor, and chrome Summit air cleaner for the 5.0!

I have a quick question, since your going with a 5 speed, how do you plan on using the clutch. since the t-5 is a cable trans with the truck is a hydro set up?

and side note a saw when people we suggesting swaps, the 13b is out of the rx-7, not miata

I haven't got that far yet. Probably end up getting a mustang clutch assembly or something.

Yes, I knew the RX7 rearend can be swapped into the Mazdas differential.

Really confused on what to do about the motor mounts. I've "read" several things on this forum saying that a fox body mustang motor mounts will work, but you have to "redrill the holes bigger". No idea what that means. Because this 302 came from a 96' F-150. The motor mounts fit on the frame mounts just fine without drilling the holes bigger. Only problem is the frame mounts are 16" apart and the motor mounts on the engine block are 14" apart.
Any suggestions?

Making some progress on the engine. I've been degreasing and cleaning it the past couple weekends. I put new gaskets on the waterpump and reinstalled that. I got it sprayed black today and did a little mock up to see what it's going to look like. Loving it so far!
