looking good.......i have double layered dynamat with some success ......cover that with joot and you will be whisper quiet....

when my wife was pregnant and past due she would make me take her for rides in my static dropped 71 datsun 521 to try and induce her.... we did that for three days then the dr. took over induceing her....i think that was her last time she rode in any minitrux with me.....my daughter loves them ....being 2.5 she loves them cause the door handles are all at her height and she can get in and out easy and pretend to drive them....sshe even likes hitting the switches now and again....

she also loves riding in my wifes 72 blazer that has a 6 inch lift on it .....but man people freak out when the tops off and shes rolling child seat style in the back....i just tell them i couldnt take it out if i wanted my daughter loves the wind in her hair...and would scream and freak if she saw me take her seat out...we only drive around town that way ...no freeway

keep knocking away at it brat.....whats up with the bed.....i got a spare ext cab bed but it might be a little more to ship to you then controls

I will look up joot never heard of it. Love that body style blazer, my kids would love it. Actually tried to find a 2wd blazer but their like unicorns.. lol.

I will take pics of the bed, typical damage from dragging on the ground. Busted roll pan, cracking corners etc.. I have to cut and re weld a lot of the damage. Still better than starting new. Just intimidated to start as i don't do bodywork.

Joot is the carpet pad under your factory carPet u can buy it at any fabric store like Rex peg u can buy it in different weights and it's like 1/2 inch thick really doubles to triples the sound deadening I have used it alot and really kills road droan it's greyish blue basically just chopped fOam and carpet fiber glued together like chip board works good

That's funny i used to run a company that made that for two OEMs and we didn't call it joot so I didn't have a clue. Lol. I know exactly what your talking about, i was telling my buddies I wish the company was still here I could get all I wanted.

Drove the truck to work today. Could definitely tell the insulation helped the rattles and high pitched noise. Seemed to help with the driveline heat but it was 32 this morning so hard to tell. Not bad for less than 80$. Need one more roll to do roof and doors and a little bit of the floor still. Will post pics later.

oh shit thats not saveable... you have invisible bed syndrome.....where you forget to put the image link in and theres no bed to see....the only way around it is to hit the bong AND DRAW ONE IN THE SMOKE U EXHALE....oops sorry that was a diatribe of what i was doing while waiting for the pic to load...then i forgot what i was looking for ....then i scrolled back a page and said oh yeah a pic of a bed... but it never showed....your computer has stage fright

Guess the big question is do u miss your tailgate, if so I would hunt for a new bed.... If u like all the custom work then I would suggest buying a body hammer and making a block of 2x4 almost the length of that panel and try and smooth it out and do some mild body work no sense cuttin and welding bed side as that would need as much bondi time as well. As for the back u could replace it or beat it semi straight although the roll pan looks a little stretched.... And in terms of body work stretched panels are a pain..... Especially long flat ones it's a pain to get the oil can oh of them..... If it were me I would go back traditional, but it's not me and it doesn matter that I still like to use my bed..... So decide daily nice track or full blown show truck.... Either way it's still a sick truck.....but if u decide to replace the bed all together be sure to decide on direction for wheels tOo..... That way If u are going big look for a 4x4 bed there about the same money at yards.....maybe u could score the fronts too.....

And for the record I don't need your plate to find u, I have your address hehehehehehehehe..... Never know maybe I will slap a stamp on my extra bed and put the flag up on the mail box and see if my mail man will brin it to u
