It has a header... wife is cool now... it was just that weekend thing.. its all good now. Weber is def long term.. but I need to save up some $$.. I just bought an xb... so am low on $$.. unless someone has a weber they want to trade for some stereo stuff... I am focusing on wiring and interior stuff.. For the right deal I plunk down the cash for a weber.. otherwise my carb works I will wait until later... its one of those things.. I have the money but dont want to spend it right now... unless the stock carb acts up again.. this truck needs soooo many things... a weber is not a priority.. just another item on the list.

Last night I got the drivers side cleaned up.. got the parking and turn signals working again... amazing how butchered things are...

They arent caddies.. but they are 16's... look a lot like caddies..

Well finally found a night back on the truck. Went to kings island with the family over the weekend, then the wife got sick so no time. Then a tragedy fell a friend of ours so it's been hard to get time.

But finally.. 2.5 hrs were spent tonight. I cleaned up most of the passenger side harness. Relocated the fuse box and made a new bracket since some one before just left it hanging by the wire. All that is left under the hood is to fix the turn signal and parking light. Then inside the cab to rewire the power windows, air ride, stereo, and try to get the dome light working again. Maybe this weekend I can wash it and get some engine bay pics.

Ok... buttoned up most of the wiring.. going Sat morn to get new heater controls since mine are apparently all fragged.. here are some pics..

Basically cleaned up all the ending wiring.. now have turn signal and parking lights.. I made the turn signals in the bumper.. parking lights in the grill.. moved the fuse box and mounted it on a bracket as it was just hanging before.. Put the compressor on a relay it was just wired to the pressure switch before.. Put the starter circuit on a relay... with a secondary kill switch thats hidden.. Totally removed the key lock as I almost hit a car forgetting the key itself.. now the kill switch is located there... removed the wiper switch arm since I have a shaved cowl.. again.. not a show truck but I feel safer with the wiring.. I hope to drive it to a local show this weekend..

Still need to fabricate a battery hold down..

They actually are the 1st gen escalade or Yukon denali wheel.

Maybe so but there's no emblems and or marking on the rims anywhere. I think they are just a cheap knock off.

Yeah prob the escalade wheels... thats cool.. you sir a fountain of knowledge

BTW I have been looking at your thread... love your truck... wish I could do some of those very same mods..

I want a back window like that but clear... used to be able to buy those... what happened? I drop out of the scene for a mere 10 yrs... and boom everything changes... hah

Yeah it is weird what could be bought a few years ago is now like its dropped off the face of the earth. I lucked up and got my window cheap on eBay. If there is any questions you have or any tips I can give you on some mods I'm always down to help just ask away. If i take a few to respond its because I'm strictly interneting (you like that word dont ya lol) it on a smart phone.

Well for me right now I am just trying to scrounge up parts.. I can't believe how hard it is getting to find parts for these trucks...I mean I found busted heater controls and hit a couple local yards and nothing no trucks even.. craigslist and ebay are fairly bare..
I do wish I could find a lexan rear window.. I dont need one.. but that back of my truck has been drug hard and is busted up pretty hard.. I have debated a whole new bed because I dont really like a welded up bed.. prefer something more like yours.. but really dont think I see the point in starting over.. So for right now I am mostly focused on small parts.. then this winter I want to try to re do the engine mount compressor and add the AC compressor back.. Call me old.. (I am) ... I like AC when its 100..

Then figure something out for the destroyed bed..

Saturday morning heading to a yard.. hopefully heater controls, corner lights maybe some other odds and ends.. I need to find some seat tracks too, but realized the floor is cut so the factory mazda ones arent going to work.

I've got a local yard here that has a lot of mazdas there. I'm going within the week so if you want to, make a grocery list of small things you need and I can scoop it up. I can throw it all in a flat rate box and send it to ya. Hell I may already have some stuff you need.
