Those are some very nice Mustangs you have there. That last shot of the Mazda is amazing at how complex things are back there. Will be interesting to see how you finish things out once the bed gets mounted.

Thanks. It took me a few hours of head scratching to figure it out as far as tire interference, turbo interference.

In fact if it wasn't for the damned rain today I think I would have finished it.

Well, after the TORNADO WARNING this morning I was able to get out to the garage to re-work a bracket on the front, Ranger, bumper.

Still to wet, and too many ingoing/outgoing showers to work on the damned bed.......%!@$%!

Gotta love Mother Nature - that B!^(#

Yes!

Here is what happened to the bed on ground zero of the Apr 27 tornado out break this year.

If you look you can see just a bit of gray behind the two saw horses.

That is the bed buried under all of those tree's.

Well I finally got some decent weather today to do some welding, and for a plus the Mrs was out all day.

Here is how much I got done on bracing the bed. Still a bit to go, but tomorrow is supposed to be a little warmer than today. Also, I will be keeping the all of the factory cross braces except for the second one from the cab, and the middle one, as this will make it easier to line back up when reinstalling the bed.

Looks like that should stiffen things up nicely. Are you gonna run a bed cover of some type?
mtrain   +1y
Yes. I plan to buy a plate of aluminum 1/4 thick, and use that for the lid.

Well, I started feeling bad after getting all of that work done, like sorta the flu.

Anyway, this Monday I got to noticing one of those big zit like things on my leg. You know the ones they are deep under the skin and tender as Hell.

So I lanced it, and let it drain that night. Wake up the next day, and can hardly walk. So I look at my leg where I lanced the bump, man it was swelled up huge, but I noticed a little black dot in the center.

Got the tweezers and it was a sliver of steel about 1/2 long. Since then I have been getting better.

Oh, and I do remember the rules, here is a pic of the "splinter".

I did get out yesterday, and today to paint the steel reinforcement bars, and add some spot putty on a few spots. By then I was exhausted, due to the blood poison from the splinter, and had to stop.
