first off it doesnt need a total rework, it needs a few link bars and thats all. it doesnt matter if i do my interior first, paint it, let it sit, whatever before doing the link setup, it all gets done at some point and doesnt have to be in any order. I am getting ready to order my link kit and will be posting pics when I get time to get it done.

u have been ready to order the links for about ayear and a half....its like 75 dollars in parts....i was refering to painting the rear frame if it has to be re done.....just do it...already....it does matter what order u do things, especially when one things ids driveability....that should be first.....att his point it just seems like your scared to fix it....shit anything will be better then whats in there ..... did u not take it to a friends house about a year ago to fix it....

Why are you so worried about the order he decides to work on his truck JROCK? It's his truck and he's doing what he wants to do to it. If he were driving it, that would be a total different story but he's not so give the guy a break.

Your doing a good job Tucn, keep up the progress cause each detail is slowly turning the truck around. 'Though it would be nice to see some progress on the link

seems to me that hes only doing what his skill level is letting him and thats painting stuff. i dont think he has the fab skill or tools to relink the back. a simple relinking of the truck is gonna cost him several hundreds of dollars cause hes gotta pay someone to do it. but still that could have been paid for with as much paint and bullshit youve wasted your money on. its cool to have it painted and looking cool but driving the truck would be way better than having a kool-aid colored yard ornament.

i can be critical all i want its public....feel free to bash my ext cab.... i do regularly .....because if he was driving it that link set up would kill some one .....i will disagree with mikey on one thing ....even its above his skill welding the set up in for the first time, at least it would be better than whats in there and u would be making effort.....shit even if you cant weld go get some leafs strip them down and live with the axle wrap.....go back and read the first 9 pages before you assume u know whats going on....kool aid colored yard ornie....lol thats funny....come on tucin even if you gotta pay somone just do it....u can shine up the turd but in the end its still a shart.....its been two years fix the rear end already...

and its this attitude that drives others away from the scene. who cares how he is building it its his. if it kills someone thats on him. not you. we were all noobs at one point or another and he is gonna fix it so thats all that should matter. he isnt dragging it all over with that setup so maybe you should just hold your tongues and chill to see what happens. i for one know about waiting on buying something but still finsih other odds and ends when i should be saving for more expensive stuff. so build your own and let him build his. i have been here for a few years now so i do know whats going on. even mikey was thinking at one point to just get off here cuz everyone was bashing his shit too. it happens but bottom line is the truck is his not yours.

tucn keep up the good work and i like how you painted the rear to keep the rust off while still having it look good.

first off jrock, i have not had the truck for 2 years. secondly I work 6 days a week 12 hour shifts. I am saving now and have a 4 link kit picked out that I should be buying in 2-3 weeks. as i said before the rear end does not need to be redone, just the link set up so painting the frame doesnt make any difference. I dont care for the attitudes and people not even having there information right, will it drive me away from the scene, NOPE!! I like the scene and if it takes me several years to build my truck how i want it then it takes that long, I am in no rush.

I can weld, and no i do not have a welder, that is something I am saving for as well. I am looking into doing some welding courses as I know i can weld but want a bit more experience doing it so i know my truck is safe when it does go on the road. so if waiting and doing things right means i get attitudes from people then so be it, cause in the end it will be a nice safe ride period.

so paint and things are bullshit and a waste, even if i had done the links first then paint would it be a waste then? it all gets done at some point, so it isnt a waste, so i decided not to keep it in primer, thats the way i decided to go at the time. I dont bash other peoples rides, i will give input or my 2 cents on something, but I let them build it how they want and how fast they want. I am not easily offended so hearing things like this only motivates me more.

wait so if your working 6 days a week 12 hours a day.... you should be......RICH....f!ck time pay someone....u should be able to buy a stainless watts link working those kinda hours....forget spraying the interior tuck and roll that snot...just saying even at minimum wage thats a fair amount... just saying... <img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_confused.gif" alt=":?" title="Confused" /><!-- s:? -->

Ok guys what's up with all the bashing! We are All here for sane reason! Talk about the mini truck scene going down hill! Wonder why ! Saw young guy on here a month ago! He was bashed! I sent him a pm,! , he won't be back ! So he says! Is this the image we want ! It's certainly not the image of the mini truck scene in the late 80s early 90a! I'm afraid if this continues many more will leave the mini scene! I for one don't wanna see that happen, but it's up too us all to make a difference, ! thanks Jason ,! My 2 cents
