Dropped the IRS from my RX7 parts car and pressure washed it:

I love the design of this thing. Low unsprung weight, adustability and the option of installing a nice clutch type LSD such as Tomei or Kaaz

The wheel weight really impressed me, they are supe light. Not the sexiest, but the weight and the low cost of 15" tires made me decide to keep them. My intention is to burn many tires and this should help keeping the tire bill a little lower.

I never did a build thread. I was pressed for time when I did the swap, so there weren't any pics taken until afterward.
I used the L98 engine from a 1992 Formula Firebird. It's all cast iron TPI 5.7 liter(350), except for the aluminum intake.
It was first used in the Corvette in the early 80's, but more popular in Camaros and Firebirds in the late 80's and early 90's.
Here's a thread I did a while back. It just has a few pics with the story.

Thanks man. You can come check it out if you want. Also, let me know if you need parts, I have a bunch of spares now. As I removed my 3" DJM blocks, I noticed that one is cracked, scary...

Sin, I like your truck man! I love how creative you got to keep your AC going. I will do something similar, but I'll keep the condenser on the front and the radiator will go inside the bed. I don't think I'll have room under the bed due to the IRS.

Starting the mock-up for the RX IRS:

Removed all the brackets not needed:

I believe I will be able to install it with minimal frame modification, since it will not be a low rider. I will probably run a simple air bag setup though.

Any suggestions on where I could get some brackets/springs/lines? I will need some gas charged, short-stroke shocks too, adjustable would be a +

Is that irs out of a na or tII rx7?

I wanted to do that so bad but goddamn theyre expensive!

It is out of my NA S5 parts car. I believe they are the same with the exception of the differential itself. Since, I will eventually get a 2 way clutch-type LSD, I decided to just go ahead and install the one I had on hand.

Can anybody explain to me how to update my thread title? Since my truck is not going to be a rotary anymore, I think "Premix" no longer applies
