Nice. I just got back a ton of parts from powder coating. Its easier than scrubbing the heck out of odd shaped parts for hours, and rattle can paint flaking off after a year or two. I think I'm going to powder coat all parts from now on. If you can't find a place local that has a good reputation and price, the shop I deal with here in Austin is spectacular.

Secondly porting isn't about making holes larger. Mostly you are going after smooth flow. Generally that means matching the ports, so theres no sharp edges that cause the air flow to tumble, creating odd vortex issues. The size of the intake and exhaust ports of these motors all visually seem to be fine, they don't make enough horsepower to require size increases. You just want to keep the air speed high.

wow I use vinegar to clean my floors, but holy cow I never thought to use it on dirty parts. Now you have my brain spinning on stuff to clean on my trucks.

I bought one of those powder coating kits from Eastwood a few years ago, it was around $120 if I remember right. I have used it many times and love how well the piece holds up compared to paint. It's a good alternative if someone wants to avoid paying to have their parts coated!
