heres a pic of the distributors, the one on the left is the one that was on my truck, and the one on the right is the one that i pulled from the junk yard. Thats what the main issue was.

Ok so today I took my cat off to see if it was clogged up, and if it was I was going to punch it out. Well I got it off and saw that it had already been punched... So now I have no clue where the problem with the exhaust is. So I disconnected the hoses that connect the egr tubes to the air box. Started the truck with them disconnected and noticed a lot of exhaust coming thru the tubes. Is this normal?

got home from work today and tried to back out the broken bolts from the valve cover, and i wasnt able to get them out. So now i need to pull the head off and take it into work so i can use a drill to get the bolts out. SO now ill be replacing the head gasket, head bolts, intake mani gasket, exhaust mani gasket, i already have the valve cover gasket. So i minor set back. but its not the end of the world. I just wanted to start on another area besides the motor... but i guess ill get it all finished first lol. ill post pics tomorrow

ok so busy weekend, i had to work satuday morning to make up some time that i lost. After work went to a few junk yards lookin for anything. I didnt find anything worth taking. On sunday i removed the chrome trim around the fenders and started on the mirrors. Justin came down and we headed out to my clubs prez's house for the BBQ, shit was awesome. Thanks again Todd for everything! On my way home I picked up a 32/36 DGV weber with manual choke. Today i ordered the rebuild kit, adapters/gaskets/hardware, and an airfilter. Also i removed the EGR tubes from the exhaust manifold, and un bolted the heat shield, ill post pics up when i can!

To top it all off, yesteday when i was at work i smashed my thumg in a hydraulic press so i wont be getting any work done for a few weeks.

Sucks to hear about work but the truck looks nice!

nice truck what did you do with your fender trim ?

It's in the bed of my truck. It's all bent to hell. The mounting screws were rusted and seized in the fenders. So they are useless.
