got the truck running how ever i think i spun a bearing... gotta get it to a shop now...

so i got the truck to my school so i can work on it. I think i have the timing all strait and all at TDC. took the bed off the truck, took out the fuel senting unit, cleaned out the gas tank (there was some sediment in the tank) got it all cleaned out, new sending unit installed, new 5gal of fresh fuel. Also put some new terminals on the power and ground cables of the truck. Well when i put a jumper box on the battery, pluged it in the wall and turn on the jumper box, went to start my truck, and there was no power going thru the truck. So this took me to the end of the class so sadly i had to get the truck out of the shop.

So on monday im going to check the fuses, then put the jumper box directly to the cables instead of connecting them to the battery, so basically use the jumper box as the battery. See if that works. i hope that works and the truck fires right up. But if the fuses are good, and the box is hooked directly to the cables and there is still no power, then i have some major issues going on. However i think i know what the issue is. After i get the truck running again it NEEDS a new timing bet, tensioner and pulley. May do a water pump as well.

Next week im getting the GMC wheels that Todd hooked me up with sand blasted and ill be repainting them and clearing them. When thats all said and done they willbe getting mounted asap. that about wraps it all up for now!

worked on the mazda today, got the truck to get power in the cab again. Turned out the terminal on the ground side of the battery wasnt crimpt properly, once that was figured out we cranked over the motor, and again nothing.

Long story short the timing belt wasnt on correctly, so i have to reset the timing again to TDC (i found the timing mark on the crank) so ill be setting that to TDC tomorrow along with the head. hopefully it will fire up, also found my exhaust issue, once thats all figured out i know where my exhaust problem is. But once the truck gets running im going to get those GMCs mounted.

Alright guys little update with a few pics.

Today I got up with Clayton from Dog Pound. We went to the Pick-n-Pull in Tacoma. They had ONE, b2200 on the lot and it had a complete motor. Needless to say Claytone and I got to work. We removed the bottom end and now its sitting in the back of the mazda. so heres a list of things i need to get done.

I already got the old head gasket off, cleaned up the mating surface of the block and cleaned the pistons of the carbon build up. I plan on:
Disassembling the motor
Cleaning all components
New:
Main/Rod Bearings
Pistion Wrings
Gaskets
After the block is cleaned and tanked, ill be painting it. then reassembling and installing, here are the pics!
