sounds like your jets might be clogged in the carb. try spraying some carb cleaner in it b4 you start it

it could happen from putting the belt on wrong like backwards and or the tension pulley isn't working right and the belt is slapping around or the cam gear is warped..

I checked the cam gear, it's strait, but I was having issues with the tensioner before the motor quit running.

Well thats good and the pully might be what caused it.. Don't go crazy with the JB it's suppose to have a little slot there. Just not a hole lol

Ya it looks like that was all cut out. But ya I need to fix it. Could be worse.

feelin a little better today, felt like i got hit by a train yesterday. Kicked it with Justin and the Modified guys today. picked up another weber with adapter plates, a backing plate, and a thrust muffler for $40. Guys are pretty cool.

tomorrow im going to take the valves out and clean them up a bit since i have to replace two of them any how. ill take pics and update tomorrow.

You say another weber... You have a old one?? Great deals too always help right.

Yeah another one. I have a manual choke weber that isn't functioning properly. The choke plates are all screwy. So I got a elelc choke weber to go on for now. An as for lapping the valves, yes I am. If I can do it at my school it will be done lol.

Little update, I got the valves pulled out and cleaned up, threw the head in the hot tank for about an hour. Looks much better but will need a second round.

Either I broke them or they were already busted, I need new keepers, also want to order new valve lashes.

Also got the new weber installed on the intake mani, just gotta get it cleaned up a little.

Goal for tomorrow, I need to get those two bolts that snapped for the valve cover out, finish cleaning the head, start the reassembly of the bottom end. Pics will be up tomorrow.

I want the old one if you want to get ride of it??
