You're a good sport emjay

Did you ever get your injector pump figured out on your diesel truck?
emjay   +1y
not as of yet. I'm in need of a new daily as soon as possible, and the 190 is the easier to get ready for the road with cheaper parts. soooo

Oh, Craig, I recently learned that the M3 was developed to compete against the 2.3-16, not the other way around.

new headlights ordered for this, also going to transfer the hood star and grille from my 300 over to the 190. I'm thinking about scrapping the 300 at this point, it'll just be too much trouble to get a title for that car, and the repairs could get extremely costly due to the auto trans issues.

Well I got my headlights delivered today, got them out of the box and ready for installation.

Seems that I will have to take some parts from Roo's corpse to get them to work. Probably going to do it at the same time that I cannibalize the grille and badge from the hood.

From 190rev.net:

New score at the JY today. I got a near mint dash that needs some cleaning (some idiot spilled green nail polish on it) and steering wheel. Also some misc switches, relays and fuses to go with. That big round thing is a new headlight switch, I suspect the one in my 190 is sticking. There is also a headlight height adjuster switch in the picture (from an 89 euro 300E.) Finally, some new headlight sockets, so I can install my euro headlights.

Also scored the new headlights (bulbs) cheap, they were like new silverstars that I pulled from a Nissan car of some flavor (over-engineered POSs)

I did some work on the dash for Andy tonight, the weather wasn't very stable today here. Anyways I had to take all the vent stuff from the old dash and put it onto the new one. I didn't do step by step as that would be boring photo wise, but here is the finished product.

as you can see I got a lot of the green paint off, probably got on the dash when the car was being tagged at the junkyard.

but not all of it:

You can't tell from a distance, and I am hoping that I wont be able to tell from the driver seat. If it bugs me enough I'll take the speaker screen out, reupholster it and paint the plastic black before I put it back in.

I still gotta finish taking out the center console and access the chewed wires before I put it all back together.

Well, I did some more work on my non-mazda project. I got tired of looking at the dash in my shop knowing that I had more to take out. No boring pics of over complicated German HVAC controls, but I do have a pic of the damn rat damage.

Think that this would cause a Mercedes to run rough with half the systems non functional?
