ok good. if you see the ones of the grille i painted this weekend then those r the ones i had to re format them and my album was set to private.

glad i got that worked out. anyway ive been thinkin and reading of the lifter swap from my b2000 to my b2200. but it seems to me it would be easier to swap the hole head plus my b20 head is almost bran new. i read that if you do that you have to use the b2000 gasket cause oil ports dont match. if i were to guess i would disagree but i dont wanna tear it down and prove myself wrong. iv looked up pics and the gaskets for b20 and b22 look the same. would the head swap work.....safely?

it should. it would give you higher compression putting a smaller displacement head on a larger displacement motor. i've heard of people doing it. and your pictures all work now.

awsome two good news in one! thanx leland. i kept my b2000 after i wrecked it. and it still ran good. ill start pullin the head off of it this weekend. if i i have time i might get to put it on the b22. ill be doing rings n bearings maybe even pistons here this spring.

guna start pulling the head off my b20 this weekend. pretty stoked as ive been burnin a quart of oil every few days.im sure il still burn some oil as the rest of my motor has 300,000 miles but i wanna replace rings and maybe pistons bearings ect this spring. i know i should do it when i swap heads but im pressed for time this weekend and just wanna get rid of that no seald burnt @ss ragety noise makin oil bakin motor shakin bag of f@#k head and get it off my truck.

Before you pull the head, get a compression reading from each cylinder.
If you don't make time to hone and re-ring it now, you'll be swearing at yourself later... I promise!
I wouldn't worry about pistons or bearings if you don't have any knocking, but the rings are most likely the source of your oil burn.

thanks man. iv heard u can rent compression testers , can u rent them from advance auto, and i am sure i need new valve seals too. i took a plug out when i first got it (needed heli coil) and there was standing oil on the piston from sitting. not a whole lot but enough to tell it wasnt just damp. and crazy smoke on startup only. i have a bran new head on my b20 so thats y i jus wantd to swap heads. i can only imagine wat my oil rings look like as much carbon ive cleand from egr valves, air control valves ect. your right tho i realy should do it all at once. im jus tiered of burnin as much oil as gas lol.
