I picked up a Toyota 2wd rear axle. I'm going to head toward 5 lug. This was from an 87 The width is 56" so I will gain a few inches of space! The guy had an 85 it was the same width but the axle tube is smaller in diameter. He had a rear from a 90's model and that was an inch or so wider than 56". I still need parts for the front which this guy has, he said he will give me the frame torsion bar forward for $100 so I may pick that up in few weeks.

I got the front yota suspension from the same guy I got the rear end from.

I found some 5 lug 20x7.5 wheels with 45mm offset. These wheels were the cleanest used wheels I have found. I have been looking for a while.

I don't want to run that wide of a tire, but I may swap the suspension and bolt them up before replacing the tires.

I want to get new brake parts before swapping out to the five lug. I also want a new yota upper ball joint.

I pulled out the mazda bucket seats for civic seats I had in storage. I modified the brackets to bolt into the mazda location. the seat mounts on the inside, center of the cab were the honda mounts. the outside seat mounts on the door side of the cab I welded on mazda mounts. I dropped the seat down a little in the front as I felt it sat better. I added some metal in a few spots to box in or add some meat, I wanted them to be secure.

feels more comfortable with these seats, probably because the padding was worn out on the stock seats.

I pulled the middle leaves out of the rear springs and replaced the shocks.
I'm not sure about these shocks. I think they are a little too soft. The frame hits the axle to easily. My first mazda I had back in the day sat with the frame this close and didn't bottom out this much. I may go for some different rear shocks.
The frame needs a notch for sure...

Those wheels are nice. Get the yota stuff in and slap those babies on and this will look great
