you only need about 2 inches max to turn lock to lock in my truck.

ya turning should be allright. my tubs are pretty big too, so i should be able to turn pretty good on the ground too provided the 4x4 fenders have enough clearance.

put the cab, and a fender on.. looks like the tire is about 1" too tall.. so 215/35s should fit in there.. its gonna be close, but it should fit. IF not, i might try to raise the fenders a little bit.. wont need to be much, so it shouldnt fuck with the bodylines.

Im lookin to swap in a Rack and pinion steering setup to help clear the oil pan on the 350, so i can set the engine as low as possible... anyone got any suggestions on what to use? i was thinking standard mustang 2 rack, But anyone got any other suggestions?

can you post some pics of you pie cuting your uppers

dont know if i have pics of it in progress... But all you gotta do is take an angle grinder.. and cut behind the balljoint.. On the top surface (where hte balljoint mounts to,) all you have to do is score it a little, so the metal bends right there.. Then i just cut all the way thru the sides, and took a hammer, and whacked the balloint area until it was flat, instead of pointing up.

thanks man.

its a 4 bolt 350. got it cheap, $180 all together the way it is.. I was told it was a pre-86 engine, but when i ran the casting number, it turns out its a 92 GM goodwrench 5.7 crate engine. I havent run the castings on the heads yet, i forgot to write them down. but i know there 1.50/1.94s.. i think its a 76cc chamber, but im not positive. if so, its basically the same head stock on that goodwrench motor, except mine arent centerbolt heads... Supposedly the centerbolts have some screwed up porting that makes em flow like crap. so maybe these will run a little better.

My truck has a 1/4'' rocker on 215/35-18s and my tires hit my fenders pretty good. I have paint bubbles from them rubing while draging. so if you have a 1/4'' rocker you can fit 18s. but if you lay true door your suck with 17s.
