Werd. A bad setup done by a good welder just makes it harder to remove later. haha. Theres a few around these parts like that.

we've done a conventional on an s10. I think we charged like $1200 to do the bare cab. That included rebuilding the firewall, most of the floor, some of the cowl, and the lower A pillars since it was a rotten mess. For a whole truck I think the next one will be in the 2K - 2500 range.
I dont like conventionals though. Labour wise we'd charge probably the same to do a stockfloor, just materials go up.

Yeah, my bodydrop cost me like $20.

See thats where you need to charge more for labor. Not everyone can weld to a point where its structuraly sound and able to hold up the entire truck. The skill level of the job should reflect the pay.

I would much rather do a traditional than a sfbd. I charge about 2500 to do one traditional.

you gotta be carefull when buying someone elses project. alot of trucks out there for sale are hacks! i was going to buy a 90 mazda until i really started looking at it close and found out it wasnt someone else project, it was someone elses problem!
