The inner fenders on a yota are metal. If you have access to a plasma cutter that will be the easiest way to do it. but you'll have to relocate a lot of shit such as your fuse box, power steering reservoir and coil. and probably your battery
If your looking for a quick & easy way to drop the front then flip the ball joints & crank down the torsion bars some. It wont hurt your ride & it should give you a good drop. If you desire more then youll need to install drop spindles or drop/lower control arms. I also know that there is a mod that you can do as for shocks on the front of your truck too. You can install the front shocks off a Ford Pinto & they will work the same as drop shocks. Oh as for cutting out the front/inner fenderwells then here is a pic of what I did!
If your only going 3-inches then no!! Thats only a must if you go real low & run rims 17 or bigger cause they will most likely rub the fenderwells!
yea.... i need to do some other modifications to mine as well...... i still have all my 2wd fenders (F&R) so imma rub if i try and lower it much....... as it was here was my truck with the 2" bells w/bj flip up front and just a regular 3" block in the rear.... (all leafs still in)
as you can tell in the rear.... im having rubbing issues already with my starions and 2wd fenders....... by the way the rear wheels are 16x9's not 8's.
