I have a feeling that the contol arm and is still goign to hit the hood even with the shortened spindle. That would suck! Thats when I would stop and leave it as low as it goes before hitting the hood. I'm going to check it out tonight.

Didnt think about the cylinder hitting the hood.

the cylinder shouldn't hit the hood.... and that will suck ass if the control arm still hits the hood

you may be surprised, there were times i didnt think it would fit, but it did. dont forget you can alwasys notch/rework the hood understrucure.

^^^ yes i would think that a bag setup would take more room than a hydraulic setup

I was really wanting to use a small spring and cup with a cylinder. That would look pimp. I want to know the diameter of a set of springs to see if they would fit in/under the control arm. Hopefully. But then I wouldnt know how to mount the bottom of the cylinder to the wishbone. I know that I could flip the cylinder upside down and it snugly slides inside of the wishbone. I would need to do something about it sliding through but then I wouldnt be able to use a spring. Hmmm....

I'll start looking around some of the hydralic websites and see whats available.

i thought you were doin a hybrid settup? if your goin hydraulics just ride on accumulators, you dont need springs, it will just ride like poop. im on parker accumulators precharged to 300 psi and my car rides like a caddy

On my civic I'm running 8's up front and 10's out back. I had originally mounted my cylinder up front upside down but then ran into problems with my axle hitting the fitting. I got some minicups and had them turned down like 1/8 or 3/16's and they went into the fork nice and tight. I could run a spring if I wanted but I have accumulators.

I am doing a hybrid setup. I mostly want the springs up front for looks. Giving the bag will act like an accumulator, I hope.

I dont want just a cylinder and a fiting under the hood. If I'm taking the time to do a tube frame and shit I want to give people something to look at, ya know?
