im doin another dakota right now, i only had to z this one 1 3/8" to lay flat, raised the tranny xmember 3/4", removed the bolt for the charcoal canister, and it layed flat with the v6. it has 20x8.5 wheels with 12mm offset, and tucks without trimming the fender lips front or back, thanks to my handywork and i had firestone 224c (2600lb) bags on mine, but am putting re72s on this one, both trucks with f/s upper cups and plated lowers. run the re72, its actually smaller than the firestone 224c and lifts way more.

I heard he got the wheels but, traded the Dak for an S-10 so now hes gonna convert the Dime to be the worlds first with a 6x4.5 lug pattern.

I think the one guy means he is bd'd flat out on 20's without Z'n the frame, hes not laying true frame up front..the only way to lay the frame up front is to Z it and rework ur tranny xmember. and what is this one guy saying that you have to tub the front??? MY situation....reworked tranny xmember, removed all fender wells, and a fwd offset wheel, body dropped on 20's...stock rear end....for now!

You don't have to Z the frame just to bag the truck, it's just something extra you can do if you want it to lay lower!!We did this Durango with only new lower control arms, narrowed rear end, and a few more little tricks. A dakota is pretty much the same!!

Only three cases of potted meat and a pound of crank? That would'nt get me through a weekend.
