I'm having trouble getting my fittings to seal properly w/ teflon tape what is everyone else using???? HELP!!!!!! I know someone out there has a better solution to my problem. thanks

same here, but since i use only slam specialies now they recommend liquid teflon, so thats all i use now.

yeah i am currently using the tape on some 1/2 fittings on the fittings going into a chrome tank and they want to leak there ass off!!!! So im trying to find another means of doing this!!!!

Ive never used the paste before and am almost ready to bolt my RS72's up front.. I have the pocket cut and whatnot... SHould I use the liquid or will I be good with the tape?

with the liquid you dont have to tighten as much, so theres not a chance of overtightenin, because the slams dont have just a tapped plate, there is an insert where the fitting goes.

ive done both, had nothing but leaks in all my setups and i hate it, i dont know what else to do cause i tighten them plenty and i put the tape or paste on, actually on the truck i have now, i wrap it once around with tape then put a thin coat of paste over that....but i still have leaks

chrome tanks are notorious for leaking you need to run mthe fitting in and out of it a couple of times dry to clean all the chroming shit out of the hole.

Where is the best place to get the liquid teflon??? Grainger????

As a plumber I would say use both don't over load on the tape and don't over tighten either and you should be good
