without saying much, i think maybe within the next couple of years in CA, theyre going to make airbagging vehicles under a certain gross weight illegial.. Theyre will be new law written, our chp instructors told us in the academy last year that they are working on new laws.

i think its funny that people argue the fact that baggin a truck isnt unsafe because "some vehicles come factory with bags" what happends when you blow a line or a bag down the road...your now draggin without being able to lift up...that dont happen with a factory vehicle...and also..no matter HOW GOOD of a welder you are..no matter how good you think you did on your truck...body dropping..cuttin out wheelwells..modifying frames...etc etc..all takes a way from the vehicle safety...all cars and trucks are designed a certain way to allow them to do certain things in a crash...all the shit we do pretty much makes them rolling death traps in a bad crash....not that im saying dont do it..cause i do it too...but u have to think abou this when you think people are trying to "harass" you

Ken another thing about your led's is there non-reflective, in texas a certain percentage of the rear of the vehicle must be reflective, call dot for specifics. they may be able to see them lite up from 500ft away but when the headlights hit the back of your vehicle and theres no red reflector thats a ticket. also if you have led's you probably cant see them from the side of your vehicle, and if you dont have any side lights at the rear of the vehicle, its a ticket too. you might want to go to the local library and pickup a dot code book and read a little. this will save alot of money b/c if your shit aint right like the one guy said it aint harrasment, your driving a vehicle that isnt legal they will bust you every time. instead of putting red reflective tape on you truck they have license plate frames that run reflective material aroud the border pick one of those up. Look at it this way at least your not in Virginia were almost everthing you do to your vehicle is illegal.

exacley, im not against trucks and bags, i drive one myself, everytime someone sees me who is older, they say wow this is dangerous. All its gonna take is 1 of us blowing a line, blowing a bag, coliding with someone next to us,and running them off into a pole, and we will be outlawed.

hey trevor, not trying to be a dick but, if the vehicle is done right everything you said will never happen... blowing bags is from a shit install as well as lines. and if your a ggod welder and use strong material you actualy can make your vehicle stronger. if you get good penetration on your weld, that weld will be stronger than the metal your welding too, and by the way lets say i boxed my frame, that there will strenghten the vehicle dramatically actually making it safer. so either youve been the victom of some hack ass work, or you are the hacker.

already happened up north, rear end fell out of a vehicle bagged, some kid did it himself but didnt know what the hell he was doing...as i said hacked. killed 2 people behind him.

helloooooooooo..you just MADE my point perfectly...just because you think you made your frame "stronger" dosent meant your now better off in a crash...and please dont say that no one will ever blow a bag or line unless your a hack..it happens man...but back to the point...factory designs a vehicle to buckle at certain points..flex certain ways..etc etc..in order to save YOU in a crash..NO save the CAR OR TRUCK....after you have made it "stronger" you done fucked all that up.....i will give you and example...some car companies do not approve a shop glueing on a quarter panel..you must weld it...not because the glue is not good..because its TOO good...it wont let the car react the way its suppose to in a crash..i know that dont have to do with bags..but its the same concept...like i said..im not tryin to discourage this stuff..im 110% minitrucker..but its a simple fact that what we do to them makes them dangerous..and yeah i realize that roll cages and blah blah blah do help for this and that but im just talkin about in general

thay will not outlaw bag but thay will do what going on with the big rigs in texas . pull u over and check your truck to make sure it meats dot standers an if it doe not u will be towed at your own cost and ticketed they cant make it against the law becouse trucker keep the country alive .think about it how many time have you call for a part and they said it on the truck will have it next day. air ride keeps the load safe. trucker blow bag so out law them? how many bag truck kill a year how many big rigs do ? it just like the gas problem it all about the money guy! were paying for a war and did not have a clue . think about it . bad speller but makes a good point.
