okay so if you lay out its 2 and 3/4 to lay rocker right....on a 2nd gen...... So what if you just take out the body mounts for the cab being those are about 2 and 3/4? and the bed well re mount the mounts... But why cant you just take out the body mounts?

Keep in mind doing it right
such as new bolts and getting some rubber in between to keep the vibration down etc.....

even so there is not 2 3/4" of clearance between anything under the cab... so thats only gonna get you maybe an inch
