i dont think so...but like russ said, 6 one way half a dozen the other.

i had my frame Z'ed with plates welded up in a day. I didnt have to mess with the steering AT ALL and my motor mounts i dropped almost an inch in about 20 minutes. I didnt have to section my oil pan when i dropped the motor but i did a little bit because i didnt want it sitting a 1/4 inch off the ground when layed out. Stock hood still closes also.

Seth, work looks great brotha!!!

Thanks Tim! Appreciate it.

If I had Z'd the frame, I still would have had to drop the motor and section the pan, because for some reason mine hangs below the frame stock. Which apparently most don't? But, it's not a big deal to me. I'm hoping to have the pan ectioned in a day or so.

but why like you said tim it took you al day to z your frame it took seth 45 mins to do that. plus you lose the height when aired up to even thou its only an inch. an inch is an inch. see you can do this while your bagging the truck only 45 mins extra. i know its hard for some to think its easier but try it one day it does change suspension geometry that much to see a difference. if i can still get 12 inches of lift bodydropped on 20's whats the cons

sadisticiron let it go, some people obviously see this differently than you do, everyone has their own opinion, skill level, and ideas.

hmm im still debating on what to do. i got the z idea down but now im wondering how the front will drop down when i body drop the cab if i cut the core supprts there doesnt seem liek much room for the front of the truck to move down, seems theres to much metal to hold it up and i still dont know what to do with those stabilizers off the lower control arms.

If you raised the lower control arm mount an inch, guess what, you lost that same inch of lift too.

6 of one, half dozen of the other.

zing is easier, now he has to raise the steering also, or the whole shabang is thrown off. if you raised it an inch, now you need to raise the steering also so you dont create alot of bumpsteer.
